Key generation is a promising technique to bootstrap secure communications for the Internet of Things (IoT) devices that have no prior knowledge between each other. With the prevalence of IoT devices, secure device-to-device (D2D) communication is becoming more and more crucial because IoT devices often need to be paired together for the purpose of file transferring, synchronisation, and data sharing. We have explored a number of ways to facilitate the pairing process between two IoT devices.
